David Borchardt joined The Tower Companies as Director of Sustainable Development in 2005. He is responsible for ensuring that The Tower Companies goals for environmentally conscious and sustainable development are incorporated into our new and existing buildings. Mr. Borchardt is a Licensed Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional. David holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University College of Engineering and he has completed Certified Project Management Training courses.
Mr. Borchardt began his career in construction as a field engineer in the power industry which evolved into a position as a consultant to the Federal Government providing support for the environmental clean up cold war weapons sites. Prior to joining The Tower Companies, Mr. Borchardt was with Dewberry in Arlington, Virginia working as Assistant Director of Facility Planning where he developed and implemented a new facility evaluation and long-range planning process for 120 job training campuses around the country.
Mr. Borchardt has managed multiple capital projects valued between $10 million and $300 million including renovations, new buildings, and infrastructure improvements.
