Jeffrey S. He is also a Board member for Maharishi University of Management (www.mum.edu) in Fairfield, Iowa, an award-winning university specializing in Consciousness-Based Education.
Mr. Abramson has organized and funded extensive medical research in the areas of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, reduction in health care utilization, preventative health care, educational programs for at-risk youth, and conflict resolution in the areas of terrorism and crime. His investment in Transcendental Meditation (TM) research has resulted in others furthering research - including a $25 million National Institutes of Health TM study -- resulting in over 30 published reports on the subject. Mr. Abramson provides scholarship support for Washington area inner-city students to learn Transcendental Meditation in order that they may be able to concentrate on learning and achieving, instead of on the other challenges they encounter each day.
